All range hoods from Custom Metal Home are made-to-order. While 42 inches is a common island width, every hood is fabricated to your exact kitchen dimensions — custom width, height, and depth are all available. Oversized hoods 60 inches and wider can also be produced.

Custom Metal Home fabricates decorative range hood shells and covers designed to fit virtually any third-party commercial ventilation liner or insert, such as Best, Broan, Vent-A-Hood, Zephyr, Faber, or Sirius. The CFM rating, blower, and ducting are specified by your HVAC contractor or insert manufacturer.

Available finishes include brushed, mirror, hammered, light patina, medium patina, dark patina, darkened, satin, and weathered. Finish options vary by material — for example, copper can be smooth or hammered, while zinc is available in brushed or patina grades. Rivet options include stainless steel, brass, copper, or no rivets.

Standard lead time for custom fabrication is typically 4 to 8 weeks depending on material, finish complexity, and order volume. Once an order is confirmed, detailed computer drawings are provided for your approval before fabrication begins, ensuring accuracy before any metal is cut.
